Solid Wood or Resin Dining Tables

Resin can be beautiful when it serves the wood rather than overpowering it.

Some slabs are best left almost entirely natural. Others contain voids, openings, or organic characteristics that can become part of the design through carefully executed resin work.

Our resin pouring process takes place in controlled conditions where temperature and humidity can be managed. Resin and hardener must also be measured accurately. Incorrect ratios or poor curing conditions can result in resin that remains soft, bends, or fails to maintain its intended form over time.

For clients who prefer a more organic aesthetic, we also create solid wood tables with little or no visible resin.

The decision depends on the slab, the room, and the client's personal style.

Properly Dried Wood Matters

One of the most important parts of creating a high-quality solid wood table happens long before the final sanding and finishing.

Wood needs time to dry and stabilize.

Many of our slabs have been drying for approximately three to five years, while even our minimum drying period for many pieces is around a year and a half. We believe allowing wood to stabilize gradually is an important part of preparing it for furniture construction.

We also carefully prepare, sand, and professionally finish our tables to create furniture intended for everyday life—not simply to look beautiful in photographs.

Most of our finishes are zero-VOC, with the remaining finishes and resin products selected to be low-VOC.
