Custom Bedroom Furniture and Headboards
Luxurious custom live edge headboard and bed rails — handcrafted, all-solid-wood, fully customizable.
Overview
Solid hardwood construction with natural live edge detail, finished to a smooth, silky hand.
Custom dimensions to fit any bed size: Twin, Full, Queen, King, California King, or made-to-measure.
Optional matching bed rails (side rails and footboard) for a cohesive, integrated look.
Built in San Diego, California — artisan craftmanship with attention to structural integrity and long-term durability.
Materials & Options
Wood species (select or combine): walnut, maple, oak, cherry, ash, hickory, mesquite, alder, or reclaimed and specialty woods by request.
Live edge presentation: natural outer bark edge preserved and stabilized, or gently trimmed and sanded while retaining organic character.
Resin options: clear, tinted translucent, metallic shimmer, or color-matched to complement the wood. Resin can fill voids, river channels, or be used as decorative accents.
Inlay & turning options: contrasting wood inlays, metallic inlays, mother of pearl, or live-edge resin veins. Turned posts or accent spindles for footboard or rail supports available in matching or contrasting wood.
Surface finish: low-sheen matte, satin, or high-gloss catalyzed lacquer or oil finish. Natural oil finishes available for a warmer, tactile feel.
Edge & joinery details: exposed dovetail, hidden spline, mortise-and-tenon, or steel reinforcement for larger spans. Rails can be recessed for mattress support or designed to accept standard slats or platform support.
Customization Examples
Minimalist modern: single live edge headboard in Claro walnut with clear resin-filled river, satin finish, and recessed rails for platform mattress.
Coastal contemporary: ash headboard with pale blue translucent resin river, natural-sanded live edge, oil finish for matte warmth, matching rails with turned ash posts.
Rustic luxury: reclaimed oak headboard with deep metallic bronze resin inlays and exposed dovetail joinery, high-gloss finish to highlight grain and depth.
Dimensions & Fit
Headboard heights and widths made to order. Typical headboard height range: 24"–72" (custom heights available).
Rail heights and lengths tailored to mattress depth and bed frame preferences. Options for low-profile platform style or higher-profile rail with visible footboard.
Designed to integrate with existing frames or delivered as a complete headboard + rail set with included slats or mounting hardware.
Construction & Durability
All-wood frames and solid posts, kiln-dried lumber to minimize movement and checking.
Stabilized voids and epoxy treatments in areas of hairline cracks or knots ensure long-term stability.
Structural reinforcement and professional joinery ensure safe support for everyday use.
Lead Time & Ordering
Each piece is made-to-order; typical production lead time: 6–12 weeks depending on complexity, materials, and current schedule. Rush options may be available.
Consultation included to confirm wood selection, resin color, finish, dimensions, and mounting method.
Shipping and delivery options coordinated to ensure safe cradle-to-home arrival; local delivery and installation available in San Diego.
Care & Maintenance
Clean with a soft, dry or slightly damp cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive pads.
Periodic application of recommended oil or polish for oil-finished surfaces to maintain luster.
Resin surfaces are durable and scratch-resistant but should be protected from prolonged exposure to hot items and sharp impacts.
