Materials & Options
Wood species (select or combine): walnut, maple, oak, cherry, ash, hickory, mesquite, alder, or reclaimed and specialty woods by request.
Live edge presentation: natural outer bark edge preserved and stabilized, or gently trimmed and sanded while retaining organic character.
Resin options: clear, tinted translucent, metallic shimmer, or color-matched to complement the wood. Resin can fill voids, river channels, or be used as decorative accents.
Inlay & turning options: contrasting wood inlays, metallic inlays, mother of pearl, or live-edge resin veins. Turned posts or accent spindles for footboard or rail supports available in matching or contrasting wood.
Surface finish: low-sheen matte, satin, or high-gloss catalyzed lacquer or oil finish. Natural oil finishes available for a warmer, tactile feel.
Edge & joinery details: exposed dovetail, hidden spline, mortise-and-tenon, or steel reinforcement for larger spans. Rails can be recessed for mattress support or designed to accept standard slats or platform support.
