Live Edge Headboard with Integrated Side Tables
A single slab of sustainably sourced hardwood becomes the focal point of the bedroom with this live edge headboard and integrated side tables. The natural contours and grain of the wood are preserved and enhanced with a clear, low-sheen finish that highlights knots, figure, and color variation while protecting the surface for everyday use.
Design
One continuous live edge slab spans the width of the bed and rises to a comfortable head height, maintaining organic lines and an asymmetric profile.
Two built-in side tables are seamlessly integrated into the headboard—floating extensions of the same slab—positioned at standard nightstand height for easy access from bed.
The side tables are designed with minimal visual interruption: hidden fastenings and recessed supports keep attention on the wood’s natural character.
Optional open shelf or single drawer beneath each tabletop provides discreet storage while preserving the clean silhouette.
Materials & Finish
Hardwood options include walnut, maple, oak, and claro, selected for figure and stability.
Grain is stabilized where necessary; voids and small checks are filled with color-matched epoxy or left expressive depending on preference.
Finish is a durable, low-VOC polyurethane or hardwax oil, hand-applied and buffed for a smooth, tactile surface that resists staining and moisture.
Dimensions & Fit
Custom widths available to match mattress size (twin through king); standard head height options from 36" to 48".
Side table depth typically 14"–18" and can be adjusted to fit room layout.
Wall-mount or freestanding mounting options offered; installation hardware and hanging cleats included and preinstalled for straightforward mounting.
Functionality
Integrated cable access cutouts for lamps, charging cords, or alarm clocks.
Side tables support bedside lighting, decor, and daily essentials without separate nightstands.
Balanced weight distribution and reinforced mounting ensure long-term stability.
Aesthetic & Placement
The headboard’s organic shape brings a natural, sculptural quality to contemporary, rustic, and transitional bedrooms.
Works well against painted, plaster, or exposed
