Custom Dining Tables for Pacific Palisades Homes: Live Edge, Walnut & Bespoke Furniture
Pacific Palisades homes deserve furniture designed for the architecture, scale and character of the space—not furniture chosen simply because it happens to fit.
At Indigenous by La Rue, we design and handcraft custom dining tables, live edge tables, solid wood tables and resin tables for homeowners, interior designers, architects and builders throughout Southern California, including Pacific Palisades.
Every table begins with the wood.
Custom Furniture for New and Rebuilt Pacific Palisades Homes
For homeowners building, rebuilding or furnishing a home in Pacific Palisades, the dining table can become one of the defining pieces of the interior.
Rather than designing around standard furniture dimensions, a custom table allows the proportions, wood species, base and finish to be selected specifically for the home.
We create pieces for contemporary, organic modern, coastal and architecturally distinctive interiors, from intimate dining spaces to dramatic open-concept homes requiring oversized statement tables.
Live Edge Dining Tables Made for the Space
A live edge table should feel intentional—not rustic simply because the natural edge of the tree has been preserved.
Our approach combines the character of natural wood with refined proportions, professional finishing and architectural bases to create tables suited to sophisticated interiors.
Depending on the project, clients can select from single slabs, bookmatched slabs, natural live edges and designs incorporating clear, translucent or colored resin.
Tables can be made in virtually any size, including oversized dining tables for large-scale Pacific Palisades homes.
Premium Walnut Dining Tables
Walnut remains one of our favorite materials for luxury custom dining tables.
Its rich color, sophisticated grain and ability to work within both contemporary and traditional architecture make it particularly versatile.
Indigenous by La Rue maintains its own inventory of premium slabs rather than relying solely on outside suppliers after a project has been ordered.
That gives our clients, designers and builders the opportunity to select from exceptional pieces of wood while allowing us to control the process from slab selection through fabrication and finishing.
Why the Drying Process Matters
A beautiful table needs to remain beautiful.
Our slabs are typically air dried for approximately three years before undergoing a slow kiln-drying process that can take another three to four months.
This process is important because solid wood continues to respond to its environment.
Wood that has been inadequately or aggressively dried may look beautiful when a table is first delivered but can develop excessive movement, cracking or warping later.
We build our tables with longevity in mind.
The Difference Is in the Finish
Finishing is one of the most important—and often overlooked—parts of creating a luxury wood table.
Our process focuses on the details you notice when you actually live with the piece: the feel of the surface, the sheen, the treatment of the natural edges, the way checks and cracks are filled and blended, and the way the table's proportions work with the surrounding chairs and room.
Our professional-grade finishes are selected to protect the wood while preserving its natural beauty.
The goal isn't simply to create a table that photographs beautifully on delivery.
It is to build one designed to be used for generations.
Resin and Epoxy Tables
For clients looking for something more architectural, we also create custom resin and epoxy tables.
Resin can be used subtly to stabilize and preserve the natural character of a slab or become a major element of the design through transparent, frosted, champagne, black or custom-colored applications.
Our crystallized resin techniques took years to develop and allow us to create pieces that blur the line between furniture and functional art.

From Our Workshop to Pacific Palisades
Each Indigenous by La Rue table is individually built rather than mass produced.
From selecting and drying the wood to flattening, fabrication, resin work, sanding and final finishing, our team remains involved throughout the process.
That hands-on approach allows us to stand behind the quality of what we build.
For Pacific Palisades homeowners rebuilding, furnishing a new home or searching for a truly distinctive dining table, our goal is simple:
Create a piece worthy of the home around it.
